System Folder

Three different types of folder systems support your file control.

Virtual Folder

Each virtual folder represents some searching conditions. Just click on the folder, you will get the files you need. You will see latest search result with each click. Effectively gives you a handle to the files which you frequently access and you are interested in.

Work Folder

Work folders are free to arrange. For example, you can make a temporary folder holds files you are working on. Collecting files from your own viewpoint. There is no constraint. And files in work folders are kind of shortcuts. Even if you delete files when you done the work, the files are kept on server.

Searching

Property/Attribute
and full-text search.

You can retrieve files with any kind of attributes or properties in one or more of field. Also you can pick up files with full-text search. Of course, you can use them at same time.

Self organized mapping technology allows you to search similar images easily.

Viewer

Colored List View

Colored list view shows you search result as a list of files with an explore like interface. Also it has an ability to show you a location of files with its color when the server system uses Kubota DVD-RAM auto changer as storage. It is useful to know the file location, because it might be slow to access files in changer slot.

Thumb Nail View

It allows you to confirm files by thumbnail images. It facilitate finding files, even if the file is not image but text based.

3D View
(Book and Slider)

ChronoStar supports 3D thumbnail viewer called book viewer and slider viewer. Book viewer shows thumbnails on a page and turn the pages to retrieve. It looks like a real book. And Slider viewer plots thumbnails in 3D space. It allows you to see more files at a time.

Walkthrough
Viewer

Walkthrough viewer allows you to gad around 3D space filled with thumbnail.

Check-in/Check-out

It enables you to lock files so that they can not be edited by other users on the network. Also it controls the version of files. You can update the version and also you can get older version.

Storage Management

ChronoStar has special features to support Kubota's storage systems. ChronoStar effectively manages MO and DVD-RAM changers and those medias. You can check the location of the media in the changer and also manages off-line medias.

CAD System support

ChronoStar supports collaboration with some CAD systems. You can directly store files to the ChronoStar server from the CAD system. Thumbnail image and certain properties are automatically attached to the file. Also you can invoke CAD application from ChronoStar with simple operation.
